ROLE: Business Development Manager

Our Client, a scale up SaaS software provider operating in the ‘social value’ area, is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced B2B sales professional to join their growing team to help take their business forward as part of ‘scaling up’.
They are focused on improving how large businesses measure, demonstrate and deliver their positive impact on society.
They are a market leader in the UK in Social Impact reporting solutions but also have ambitious plans to develop new products which are more suited to emerging international markets where there is an increasing need for large businesses to report their ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) credentials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with the Head of Sales to help define commercial objectives and targets
• Co-ordinate with marketing to ensure sales campaigns are aligned with marketing campaigns
• ‘Own’ your own sales funnel from incoming enquiry to close, in order to hit agreed sales quotas
• Efficiently handle incoming leads generated from marketing campaigns
• When appropriate, source new sales leads from your own prospecting
• Lead a high volume of on-line product demos
• Attendance at in-person sales meetings
• Representing the business at industry events
• Provide regular reporting and feedback to other parts of the business on performance, customer requirements and market intelligence.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• At least 5 years experience in B2B product sales
• A history of ‘owning’ a sales funnel
• Experience of selling to both senior executives and mid-managers, remotely and in-person
• Willing to travel (limited travel requirement within the UK)
• Willing to travel to head office in Belfast on a roughly monthly basis
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
• Proven track record selling B2B SaaS software solutions
• Experience of selling to both private and public sectors
• Experience of selling to enterprise-scale organisations
• Experience of giving online demos
• Experience of using cloud-based CRM systems
• Experience of attending and presenting at conferences
• Experience or interest in sustainability topics

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS
• Base salary of £45-60k depending upon experience, plus uncapped commission.
• OTE £90-100k
• 25 days paid holiday plus 10 statutory days
