Our client, a leading supplier of fresh baked goods across the island of Ireland are looking for a Sales Manager to assist with their growth plans in Northern Ireland. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the business development strategies and revenue growth of our client.

The role:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans to achieve and exceed profitable sales targets, with a focus on expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth.
  • Lead and inspire the van-sales and distribution teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success.
  • Utilise your expertise in creating detailed reports to analyse sales data, market trends, and customer preferences. Use this data-driven approach to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential clients. Leverage this information to develop targeted sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement effective promotional campaigns and initiatives that support business development efforts.
  • Act as a brand ambassador to network, showcase products, and generate leads.

The person:.

  • Proven track record of success in sales and business development ideally within the fresh food industry, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing a van sales team preferred but not a deal breaker
  • Proficient in creating detailed reports and utilising computer skills to analyse sales data and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate our value proposition to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • A passion for the baked goods industry and an understanding of the market and customer preferences.
  • A full, clean driving licence.s
